Healing.

I just realised the importance of taking our time to recognise our problems and the sources of weaknesses. Too often, we get caught up in the vicious cycle of feeling awful, exhausted and alone, not knowing how to escape from those intuitive messages, not knowing how to numb them for good.

We try to amend things by complaining, filling the void with negativity and inexistent solutions. We keep chasing our tails thinking that those kind of troubles are foreordained; yet listening to others’ complaints and sad stories, almost believing that it’s normal to live in pain and malaise.

But that’s not true. I don’t think we exist to hate our lives; to spend our days waiting for it to be over— that pain, loneliness, lack of purpose. It gets to the point when we feel as if we are just getting carried away by the routines, recurring problems and toxicity tailing us wherever we go.

However, how many of us do actually spend sometime totally enclosed in one’s self; just to assess the source of all this pain and unhappiness? How many times did you try to be proactive and believe you’re empowered to solve everything? I don’t think many of us do. Because it’s easier to give up, choose to stay in our sabotaging comfort zones of clinging to the darkness and not even reach out to find the answers.

The answers are never easy themselves, that’s why I’m saying it’s easier to give in. Yet, to overwhelm your mind with connections of past traumas, damaging habits, killing routines and mindsets is perhaps one of the most cardinal moments one could choose to have. This awakening is awfully tormenting; it doesn’t only overwhelm you all at once, but requires you to choose to feel lost, shattered and demeaned everyday just to get to the point where you understand how to heal yourself.

This understanding is never simple. It takes practice, dedication and commitment to rituals you never knew existed. It trains your mind to create neural pathways that were never there— like teaching yourself to read and write from the very beginning, like teaching yourself how to live once more.

Because, you were never alive. You were just a drift, blown by a gust of wind. But you’re here for a reason. You were meant to go through all this just to take the time to understand how precious and transforming it would be to define a new life, a new person, a changed perspective.

It’s just a decision away from a discovery. You were never empty, just like the cosmos was never void of the galaxies and constellations. And somehow, this is all connected to the idea of healing.

We need to heal. We need to realise why we need to live. We need not wait for happiness to come to us for it’s merely a fervent intention to make— never simple and ready found, but always in reach.

It’s possible, because I’ve been there in your place. I’ve been through days when I felt like living a normal life— just to be happy, was an illusion, a dream too good to be true. But it was just a decision I made to at least try, to make it a cause to live for..

And I’m here, and you can definitely do it, too. There is nothing more freeing.
