Maintaining Grace through the Workload.

Hello friends! It's been a nice week, thankfully. I managed to stay blissfully productive and positive, even though the change I'm experiencing these days is profound and it's been two years since I had actually felt busy! Of course, my anxiety messed my perception of workload and caused me to feel worried and irritated, but I'm glad I'm recovering and healing my mind to accept the world's happenings.

Our age now doesn't allow us to stay idle; our society is too dynamic in miscellaneous ways and there is no time nor energy to be wasted in that prospect. However, we have mismanaged this situation and allowed ourselves to experience burnout, stress, depression and restlessness in order to remain competitive in our workplaces, schools, families and all other institutions. Unfortunately, this harms both our mental and physical health in many ways. It wrecks our hormonal balance, distorts our ability to listen to our intuition, creates this havoc of a work-life imbalance, makes us antisocial and irritated all of the time. This isn't how it should be. We have the choice to respond to this erratic environment differently, and the thing is, it's possible.

First thing to keep in mind is that there is nothing as "having no time". We have all of the time in the world, and don't you ever blame yourself for not being able to commit to your due dates on time. Time can be manipulated, and sometimes, our minds irrationally make us believe that we are busy, when in fact, we aren't. Choose a suitable pace which comforts you while doing your work because simply, everyone's different; some people like to work painstakingly while others can effectively rush into things. Listen to the rhythm of your mind and work accordingly, assimilate all the information your are processing mindfully and don't do things without them being affirmed by your consciousness. You'll find that you are completing more tasks with a different attitude, one that makes time feel so effortless and allows it to pass frictionlessly. I know that I might sound very unrealistic but I've tried it countless times before. Once you tell yourself to dedicate your entire efforts onto something, you shall reap the benefits of learning so much more, piquing your passion and enhancing your productivity.

Rushing into things with a "busy" attitude heightens your stress levels, keeping you alienated. Organising your time, keeping a considerable to-do list and doing the things you love will certainly save you from burnout. Sometimes, we hold unreal expectations of ourselves and through mindfulness, you'll be able to explore your potentials and improve them. But when you're so rushed into things, you don't even exert the effort to be aware of the skills you're utilising and developing, the new ideas, criticisms and additions.. so it certainly makes you less productive.

Workload doesn't always have to be a negative thing, unless you misuse the situation. Remember that everything happens for a reason, and perhaps the entire feeling of being too busy might be an omen that you weren't meant to be doing what you're doing. The mere signs of feeling uninspired and tense could mean a lot considering the direction you're taking in your life. You have a heart to listen to those cues and a mind to process them.

Remember that positivity is a choice, and happiness can only be created through the simple routines of our days. Don't waste your whole life pushing joy aside while you live completely unable to relish the simple meaningful moments of each day. Take it slow and make every second worthwhile.
